Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus has decided to reschedule the October 30th OnePlus 6T launch event. Yesterday, Apple has announced the launch event for iPad Pro and Mac launch on October 30th and to avoid the clash between two events, OnePlus has decided to change the date from 30th October to 29th October. The company said it had made the decision to avoid getting “overshadowed” by Apple’s event which is scheduled to take place on October 30. Now the company has announced that they will reschedule its event on October 29th at the same location and 11 AM ET time.

“A lot has changed in the past 24 hours. When we announced the launch of the OnePlus 6T on October 8, we were convinced our timing would allow us to maximize the amount of people we could reach with our message. That changed when Apple announced they would be hosting their own event on October 30,” wrote CEO Pete Lau in a blog post.

“We couldn’t make this decision on our own. For hours, we talked to our press contacts to gain insight into how Apple’s announcement could affect the launch of the OnePlus 6T. We received considered, honest and thoughtful feedback. They showed us that if we chose to stick to our original timeline, launching the OnePlus 6T on October 30, we would be overshadowed by Apple,” he added.

The company has also decided to refund the amount to those who already bought a ticket for the OnePlus 6T event in the US and will be not able to make it to the event because of the adjustment in the timetable.

To recall, OnePlus had booked DJW Stadium in New Delhi for its OnePlus 6T launch event on October 30 and the tickets were sold out within two minutes.

According to the rumors and reports leaked till now, OnePlus 6T is expected to sport a 6.4-inch Optic AMOLED Full HD Plus display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, dual camera setup on the rear, an in-display fingerprint sensor or and a water-drop at the top of its display. Other rumored features of OnePlus 6T include a dual-camera setup at the back with a 20-megapixel sensor, a 16-megapixel sensor, and there might be a 16 MP sensor on the front. The company also hinted that the upcoming OnePlus 6T will have a big battery than its predecessors.
