OnePlus 10R with Dimensity 9000, 120Hz AMOLED display to launch in Q2 2022

Recently, OnePlus released its flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 10 Pro, in the home country China. According to reports, the OnePlus 10R will be launched in China and India in the second quarter of 2022.

OnePlus will release the 10R in the coming months as a successor to its 9R and 9RT smartphones. A few weeks ago, the OnePlus 9RT was released in India, with the OnePlus 10 Pro reportedly launching in March in the country.

Android Central reports that the OnePlus 10R will feature MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9000. It’s expected to have at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Moreover, it will have a 120Hz AMOLED display.

The phone will also run Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 or ColorOS 12 based on the region. It is expected to launch in China and India and is likely to debut at the end of Q2 2022.

There is no information provided about the expected price of the OnePlus 10R in the leak. To give you an idea, the OnePlus 9RT variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at Rs 42,999 whereas the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs Rs 46,999.

OnePlus 9RT specifications

The device features a 6.62-inch full HD+ E4 AMOLED display that offers 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, 397ppi pixel density, HDR 10+, up to 1300 nits peak brightness, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

It is powered by a Snapdragon 888 SoC along with the Adreno 660 GPU GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

On the back, you’ll find a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens that has optical image stabilization (OIS), a 16-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. The 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 camera is located at the front of the device.

The device runs Android 11-based OxygenOS 11. There is a battery capacity of 4,500mAh and Warp Charge 65T support.

In terms of connectivity, the device supports 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax 2X2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, A-GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It measures 162.2×74.6×8.29mm in dimensions and weighs 198.5 grams.
