Tuesday, at a press event in China, Nubia has launched its latest smartphone — Nubia X with dual displays. With this device, Nubia skips on a front-facing camera to attain an enhanced screen-to-body ratio, adds a secondary display at the rear, so you can click selfies using the primary dual camera setup. The Nubia X is launched in Deep Gray, Black Gold, and Sea Light Blue colors.
Nubia X Specifications
The Nubia X comes with a 6.26-inch and 5.1-inch dual displays. The primary display of 6.26-inch comes with a resolution of 1080×2280 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. There is a layer of Gorilla Glass 3 on top of the display for added protection and there will be a 96 percent NTSC color gamut.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’ flagship Snapdragon 845 SoC 64-bit processor, along with Adreno 630 GPU. The device is available in three variants — one with 8 GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, another one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage and the top end variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
Camera department has been the strength of Nubia’s smartphones, and this one too follows the suit. The new Nubia X also has a dual camera setup includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, dual-tone LED flash; and a 24-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. There is no front camera, but since the smartphone has a display at the back, the user can use it to take selfies.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C port. Sensors on board the handset are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. The smartphone packs a 3,800mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support for fast charging. The dimensions of the smartphone measure 154.1×73.30×8.4mm and weigh 181 grams.
Nubia X Price
Talking about the pricing, the 8 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,299 (approx. Rs 34,000), while the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,699 (approx. Rs 39,000) and the top end variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage priced at CNY 4,199 (approx. Rs 45,000). As we mentioned earlier, the Nubia X will be available in Deep Gray, Black Gold, and Sea Light Blue colors.
