Chinese smartphone brand Nubia has unveiled a new mid-range phone called Nubia Play 5G in home-country China. The major highlight of the phone is it does not have have any notch or punch-hole. It is fuelled by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset and comes with a starting price of 2,399 Yuan (approx. Rs 26,015) in China.
Nubia Play 5G Specifications
Nubia Play 5G features a 6.65-inches FHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also features an in-display fingerprint scanner.
It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC paired with Adreno 620 GPU. It is coupled with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage.
The Nubia Play 5G packs a total of six cameras. The rear camera unit features triple sensors with a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, a 12MP f/1.5-f/2.4 lens, and a 12MP f/2.4 lens with 2x optical zoom.
On the front, the Nubia Play 5G houses four cameras with a 48MP Sony IMX582 primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide unit, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The rear camera setup is capable of recording 4k videos at 30fps. Other camera features on the phone include slow-motion video recording to capture dance moves and lightsaber effects and more. Upfront, there is a 16MP selfie camera. Nubia Play 5G boots on Android 10-based Nubia UI 8.0.
For amazing gaming experience, the handset has dual customizable shoulder buttons and an ICE 2.5 cooling system which is a combination of 61mm liquid cooling pipe, thermal gel, copper foil, and graphite sheet.
The Nubia Play 5G is backed by a 5100mAh battery that comes with support for 30W PD fast charging compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge and PPS chargers. Other features on the phone are dual-mode 5G – SA (standalone) / NSA (non-standalone) support, DTS Audio, and dual stereo speakers.
Nubia Play 5G Price and Availability
In China, the Nubia Play 5G comes in three configurations. The base model of the Nubia Play 5Gincludes 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This model is priced at 2,399 Yuan (approx. Rs 26,000). The second model of the phone comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage that comes for 2,699 Yuan (approx. Rs 29,260). Another variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 2,999 Yuan (approx. Rs 32,500). The Nubia Play 5G comes in three colors – Black, Blue, and White.
Nubia Play 5G is already up for pre-order on multiple retailers and will go on sale for the first time from April 24.
