Nubia Alpha SmartWatch with Foldable OLED Display can be wear as a bracelet and it is a phone too.

Up to now what we seen in MWC event is a foldable concept smartphone from major tech giants where a tablet can be folded in your pocket, here is a new treat to your eyes from  Nubia a subbrand of ZTE unveiled its first smartwatch with a bendable OLED display.This not only used as a wearable but also a phone. Yes, you hear it right.

The new Nubia Alpha wearable comes with features similar to an Android phone. This smartwatch comes with a 4-inch foldable OLED screen that is produced in partnership with Visionox. Since it takes a watch form factor. The screen got a narrow and tall screen with an aspect ratio 36:9.

It wraps your wrist as a wearable and also lets you make or take calls and also click pictures and use apps as we do in a smartphone. Additionally, it also comes with a range of smartwatch sensors including the heart rate sensor.

Without a doubt, it is a smartwatch but it is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC paired with 1GB of RAM. Internal storage is offered at 8GB, and it packs a 500mAh battery that claims to last a day or two (48 hours of standby time). For typing, The Nubia Alpha got a T9 keyboard and for audio, it got a built-in speaker as well.

For video calling and taking photos, The wearable houses a 5-megapixel 82-degree wide angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Nubia claims that the watch is water-resistant. On the software front, the nubia alpha runs on a custom OS that helps in motion gestures. Where it controls the smartphone from doing gestures in the air, close to the device.

The Nubia Alpha comes with two options-one will be the Bluetooth version which will pair with a phone and another will be the eSIM version which will allow it to be a standalone option. As it is a phone too, It supports eSIM version has voice calling and 4G LTE connectivity. The device built with stainless steel the display is coated in heat-resistant polyimide. And also comes with a Gold version with 18 k gold band.

For pricing and Availability, For now, Black Bluetooth variant will be available in Europe and North America in April, and its average global price will be EUR 449 (roughly Rs. 36,200). he eSIM variant will be available in China in April for EUR 549 (roughly Rs. 44,300) for the Black colour options, and the 18K Gold variant will be priced around EUR 649 (roughly Rs. 52,400).
