After a few leaks and rumors, HMD Global finally unveiled a new phone Nokia X71 in Taiwan today. The Nokia X71 is the first smartphone from Nokia to sport punch-hole selfie camera. Moreover, this is the first mid-range device from the company to feature the in-display fingerprint sensor.
Nokia X71 Specifications
The Nokia X71 has a 6.39-inch PureDisplay with a Full HD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The display offers a 93% screen-to-body ratio. Talking about the design, the Nokia X71 has 2.5D double-sided glass with a solid metal frame in the middle. The power button on the side comes with white LED lighting, which allows it to function as a notification light. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE octa-core processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, which is expandable further up to 256GB.
The Nokia X71 comes with triple camera setup on the rear, powered by Zeiss. The primary 48 MP sensor has an f/1.8 aperture and the 5MP depth sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide angle snapper offering 120-degree FoV. The device has a 16 MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The device does offer additional features like dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, 4G VoLTE, and a USB Type-C port. That aside, the device packs in 3500mAh battery with support for 18W wired fast charging. The device runs on Stock Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.
Nokia X71 Price and Availability
Talking about the pricing, the new Nokia X71 comes with a price tag of TWD 11,990 in Taiwan, which is approximately Rs. 26,900 in India. It is set to go on sale in Taiwan from April 10. Interestingly, the smartphone will only be available in a single color option: Black. For now, the company has not revealed any information about the Nokia X71 pricing or availability in other markets. The smartphone is likely to debut in global markets with a different moniker.
