HMD Global has unveiled a new phone as a US-exclusive which is designed to take advantage of Verizon’s mmWave 5G network. Dubbed as Nokia 8 V 5G UW, the phone is priced at $699 (roughly Rs 51,651) and it will be available in a single Meteor Grey color. It will go on sale from November 12 through Verizon and Best Buy.

The newly announced Nokia 8 V 5G UW features a 6.81-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) IPS screen on the front with a 20:9 aspect ratio, punch-hole, and supports 120Hz refresh rate.
Nokia 8 V 5G UW comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC paired with Adreno 620 GPU, 6GB RAM, and 64GB storage. If needed, the storage can be further expanded using a microSD card.
The back of the device features the quad-camera setup and it comes equipped with a 64MP primary snapper paired with a 12MP ultra-wide unit, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth shooter. Upfront, it has a 24MP selfie shooter.
The phone runs on Android 10 OS out of the box. It includes a 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. As for connectivity and ports, it supports 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, USB Type-C port, and dual-SIM support. The phone measures 171.90 x 78.56 x 8.99 mm and weighs 220 grams.
