Nokia 8.1 Spotted on Geekbench, Reveals Specifications of the Device

The successor of the Nokia 8 named Nokia 8.1 is benchmarked on the site reveals some specifications of the device. According to the Geekbench listing, Nokia 8.1 is powered by the Snapdragon 710 chipset. The upper mid-range chipset is coupled with 4GB of RAM.

Interestingly, as per the Geekbench listing, the upcoming Nokia 8.1 might be running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Just like previous Nokia handsets, the Nokia 8.1 will also come with Google’s Android One program, which means no bloatware, stock Android user interface and assured updates for the next two years.

The new 10nm Snapdragon 710 SoC on the Nokia 8.1 will paired with 4GB of RAM. The Nokia 8.1 has scored 1841 on single core and 5807 on multi-core tests. Officially, there is no confirmation on the Nokia 8.1. The rumors also suggest the company to launch the China-exclusive Nokia X7 as Nokia 7.1 Plus in the global markets.

The recent launch of the company, Nokia X7 (aka Nokia 7.1 Plus) features a 6.18-inch FHD+ display with a screen aspect ratio of 18.7:9. Based on Android Pie, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 710 processor, and packs a 3500mAh battery with Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 support.

It comes in three storage options: 4GB RAM/64GB internal memory, 6GB RAM/64GB internal memory, and 6GB RAM/128GB internal memory and the storage that can be expanded up to 400GB via a microSD card. In terms of optics, the Nokia X7 packs a 12-megapixel (f/1.8, 1.4-micron) + 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 20-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
