Finnish smartphone maker is expected to launch Nokia 8.1, which is rumored to be the global variant of the Nokia X7 in India on 28th November. The latest report that arrived today has revealed the expected launch date and pricing of the upcoming phone from HMD Global.
According to the report by 91Mobiles, the upcoming Nokia 8.1 is expected to be unveiled in India on November 28. Even though there is no comment from the company about the same, the Nokia X7 was launched in China last month and it is expected to debut as the Nokia 8.1 in India.
Nokia 8.1 Specifications
The recent launch of the company, Nokia X7 features a 6.18-inch FHD+ display with a screen aspect ratio of 18.7:9. Based on Android Pie, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 710 processor, and packs a 3500mAh battery with Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 support.
It comes in three storage options: 4GB RAM/64GB internal memory, 6GB RAM/64GB internal memory, and 6GB RAM/128GB internal memory and the storage that can be expanded up to 400GB via a microSD card. In terms of optics, the Nokia X7 packs a 12-megapixel (f/1.8, 1.4-micron) + 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 20-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
Connectivity options on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a USB Type-C port. It sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Nokia 8.1 Pricing and Availability
According to the reports, the Nokia 8.1 is expected to be launched in India on November 28 with a starting price of Rs 23,999 for the top-end 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant. The Nokia X7 was launched in China at a price of CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs. 17,700) for the base variant with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 20,900) for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant, and CNY 2,499 (approx. Rs. 26,100) for the 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage variant. The Nokia 8.1 color options include Dark Blue, Magic Night Silver, Night Black, and Night Red.
