HMD Global has been working on another smartphone after the massive hit of the Nokia 6.1 and 5.1. The press renders of upcoming phone Nokia 7.1 Plus (aka X7) have surfaced on the web. The leaks show the front of Nokia 7.1 Plus with a notch. The right edge of the leaked picture shows the power button and the volume rocker.
As per the leaked press renders, the Nokia 7.1 Plus will have a similar design that we’ve seen on the recently launched Nokia 6.1 Plus. Further, it could feature 19:9 display with a full-HD+ 1080×2280 pixel resolution. The Nokia 7.1 Plus is expected to sport Carl Zeiss optics with a LED flash and a circular fingerprint sensor on the back. The report suggests that the device will be powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Nokia 7.1 Plus might be an Android One device and it could feature Android Pie out of the box. Further, the Nokia 7.1 Plus likely to have large battery than the predecessor Nokia 6.1 Plus.
HMD Global has already sent out invites for a launch event on October 4 in London. However, Nokia might just reveal the 7.1 Plus phone on the October 4th event and it is expected to be launched by the end of 2018.

To recall, Nokia recently launched two new smartphones in India with the surprising pricing and specification, Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus.
Nokia 6.1 Plus Specifications
Talking about the specifications of the Nokia 6.1 Plus, the device has a 5.8-inch full-HD+ display of 2280×1080 pixels resolutions with 19:9 aspect ratio and 96 percent color gamut. The Nokia 6.1 Plus will be powered by Snapdragon 636 with Adreno 509 GPU. The phone has a dual camera setup on the rear with 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel cameras while the 5-megapixel is a depth sensor. Up front, the device boasts 16-megapixel front camera. The front camera has 1-micron pixel size and f/2.0 aperture and features include AI-assisted portrait lighting. The Nokia 6.1 plus is backed by a 3,060mAh battery and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Still, there is an absence of face unlock mechanism. The Nokia 6.1 Plus and will be available in gloss midnight blue, gloss black and gloss white color options.
The device will be a part of Google’s Android One programme the device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and will be updated to Android 9 Pie later this year. Connectivity options of the Nokia 6.1 Plus include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board the Nokia 6.1 Plus are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. In terms of dimensions, the smartphone measures 147.2×70.98×7.99mm (excluding the lens), going up to 8.59mm with the lens and weighs 151 grams.
Nokia 5.1 Plus Specifications
The new Nokia 5.1 Plus features a 5.8-inch 19:9 aspect ratio display with an HD+ resolution of 1520×720 pixel. While the device is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 chipset coupled with Mali-G72 MP3 for graphics performance. Talking about the variants, the Nokia 5.1 Plus will be available in two storage variants one with 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, and another one with 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. The Nokia 5.1 Plus also has dual camera setup on the back featuring 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel image sensors. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The Nokia 6.1 plus is backed by a 3,060mAh battery and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. As a part of Google’s Android One programme, the Nokia 5.1 Plus also runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, and will be updated to Android 9 Pie later this year. The Nokia 5.1 Plus will be available in blue, black and white colors.
