Nokia has slashed the prices of its mid-range smartphones – the Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus in India. The price cuts are massive and have been brought down by as much as Rs 4,000. The new prices on the both Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus are so far only listed on the Nokia India online store.
Looking at the price cut, the Nokia 7.1 was launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 19,999 which was the variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. It is now available at Rs. 12,999 in India.
In the same manner, the Nokia 6.1 Plus with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory made its debut in the Indian market for a retail price of Rs. 15,999, is now being sold for Rs. 11,999 after the price cut. The Nokia 6.1 Plus top-end variant, on the other hand, is now sold for Rs. 14,999 after the price cut. The Nokia 6.1 Plus with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory made its debut in the Indian market for Rs. 18,499.
However, at the time of writing this article, the new prices had not been updated on Flipkart and on Amazon India’s e-retail platform.
Talking about the specifications of the Nokia 6.1 Plus, the device has a 5.8-inch full-HD+ display of 2280×1080 pixels resolutions with 19:9 aspect ratio and 96 percent color gamut. The Nokia 6.1 Plus will be powered by Snapdragon 636 with Adreno 509 GPU.
The phone has a dual-camera setup on the rear with 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel cameras while the 5-megapixel is a depth sensor. Upfront, the device boasts a 16-megapixel front camera. The front camera has 1-micron pixel size and f/2.0 aperture and features include AI-assisted portrait lighting. The Nokia 6.1 plus is backed by a 3,060mAh battery and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Still, there is an absence of face unlock mechanism. The Nokia 6.1 Plus and will be available in gloss midnight blue, gloss black and gloss white color options.
Connectivity options of the Nokia 6.1 Plus include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard the Nokia 6.1 Plus are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.
Nokia 7.1 specifications
Nokia 7.1 sports a 5.84-inch full-HD+ PureDisplay panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 1080×2280 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 636 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage which is expandable up to 400GB via microSD card.
For photography, the Nokia 7.1 has a dual-camera setup on the rear that includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The phone also comes with an 8-megapixel sensor at the front with an f/2.0 lens and 84-degree of field-of-view.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Additionally, the phone packs a 3,060mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
