Nokia 6.1 Plus 6GB RAM variant launched in India: price, release date, and more

HMD Global is not going to announce itsn in upcoming MWC event it seems because ahead of the event, the company launched a new variant of its mid-range offering, dubbed as Nokia 6.1 Plus. The smartphone was initially launched at its base storage variant but now the smartphone will available to buy in 6GB RAM + 64GB storage (expandable up to 400GB). The smartphone will available in all major online stores as well as official Nokia store from March 1st.

For pricing, The Nokia 6.1 Plus is set at Rs 18,499 and the handset will be available in Black, White and Midnight Blue colours. At launch offers, The smartphone will come with an Airtel’s Rs 2,000 instant cashback offer and 240 GB data over 12 months on the recharges of Rs 199, Rs 249, and Rs 448.

Talking about specifications, The phone flaunts by a  5.8-inch display with a notch housed at the top of the screen.T he device will be powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 chipset paired by at 6GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage.

For imaging, the device includes dual 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors on the rear and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter up front. For the battery, the device is fuelled by a 3,060mAh.For Biometrics, The smartphone backed by a fingerprint scanner.

On the Software front, The smartphone which launched as Android One device and now the Nokia 6.1 Plus has started receiving a new software update geared with January 2019 Android security patch. The latest update is being rolled out in batches in India. The update also adds a Pro Camera Mode in the camera app, and users also get a hide the notch option that enables them to get rid of the notch whenever they want the full-screen space.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ GLON ASS, USB Type C, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
