Nokia 5.4 listed on US FCC, likely to launch soon

A new Nokia smartphone is in the works. The device carrying model number TA-1340 (believed to be the Nokia 5.4) has been spotted on the database of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US. The company is rumored to be prepping for the launch of the Nokia 5.3 successor. The US FCC listing does not reveal much except for the support for the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, LTE, Bluetooth, and a 4,000mAh battery.

The render listed on the US FCC certification website shows the sketch of the phone that outlines the layout of the ports, camera module, front panel, and a couple of other details. The device reportedly comes with a flat display with a hole-punch cut out on the top left corner of the display for the selfie camera.

On the top edge, the handset features an earpiece, microphone, and a 3.5mm headphone jack while the bottom side sports a USB Type-C port and speaker grill. The volume and power buttons are located on the right whereas the left side is a place for the SIM tray and a dedicated Google Assistant button.

As per the previous report, the Nokia 5.4 will have a 6.4-inch punch-hole display and it is said to pack a faster SoC compared to its predecessor, the Nokia 5.3. To recall, the Nokia 5.3 was launched with Snapdragon 665 SoC. Further, the Nokia 5.4 is expected to arrive in two configurations: 4GB + 128GB and 4GB + 64GB storage. It is also expected to launch in Blue and Purple color options.
