WhatsApp has finally started rolling out Stickers feature on the beta version. The Sticker feature is available on Android and iOS platforms and it is currently available on WhatsApp beta version 2.18.239 for Android and version 2.18.100 for iOS users. Moreover, WhatsApp has added support for third-party sticker packs too.
“From emoji and camera features to Status and animated GIFs, we’re always looking to add new features that make communicating with friends and family on WhatsApp easy and fun. Today, we’re excited to introduce a new way for people to express themselves with stickers,” WhatsApp stated in a blog post.
The new sticker feature is already live on the beta version of Android and iOS. If you are an Android user, then update to version 2.18.329 to enjoy the new stickers on WhatsApp, while it is included in version 2.18.100 for iOS users. However, as of now, only 12 sticker packs are available for download for free. After downloading the sticker pack, a user can use the stickers offline as well. There is a tab for Stickers besides the GIF, users can tap on the sticker that they want to send and there is a favorite tab that let users mark their favorite stickers by clicking on the star option. The stickers can be accessed from both WhatsApp web as well as the mobile app.
The sticker pack includes Smiling teacup, Crying broken heart, Cuppy by Minseung Song, Bibimbap Friends by Pete Ellison, Biscuit by Ghostbot and more.
