Motorola upcoming flagship “Odin” coming with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 and 5G Moto Mod support in 2019

Lenovo owned company Motorola is working on a new flagship smartphone that could be the successor of the Moto Z3. This year Motorola didn’t plan any big event might be busy in working with its new flagship.T he Moto Z3 which disappointed with its use of the top chip from 2017, but next year the company will be back to using the latest and greatest Qualcomm silicon.


According to a report from the XDA Developers claims that new handset been codenamed “Odin” by Motorola and also added that the device will be flagship offering, and it’ll offer support for Moto Mods. Where it is speculated that the new smartphone marketing name to be the Moto Z4.


Its all about the chipset that handset armed is stupendous, Moto Z4 could sport Qualcomm’s next-gen flagship chipset – the Snapdragon 8150 SoC. Where the base variant could equip 4GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. Where might be not convinced that a flagship with such memory configuration, but it seems likely since its predecessor was also announced with the same amount of RAM? And the higher variant with 64GB to be exact on Moto Z3 though we may expect some more storage variants to be announced.
Furthermore, the smartphone reportedly runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box and flaunt the magnetic pins on the rear panel to offer support for Motorola’s modular Moto Mods, including the 5G Moto Mod accessory. The 5G Mod which was announced by the company earlier this year tested the 5G data transmission on Moto Z3 allowed by US operator Verizon. As rumoured, Moto Z4 will support 5G network out of the box.
The report also adds that the Motorola is working on software to handle an in-display fingerprint scanner but this is not yet confirmed that the Odin/Moto Z4 bears in-display fingerprint scanner.H, however, the “Odin” is still in the early stages of development, so it’s possible that support for an in-display fingerprint scanner will appear in the future.
