The Motorola Edge S30 is expected to be launched in China soon by Motorola. Lenovo‘s product manager recently confirmed that Motorola plans to launch two new flagship smartphones, one of which will have an LCD screen. Now, specifications of the upcoming Motorola Edge S30 have been revealed by the reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on the Chinese micro-blogging platform Weibo.

This tipster claims that the Motorola Edge S30 will feature a Snapdragon 888 Plus processor. It is an octa-core SoC with ARM Cortex-X1 Prime core clocked at 3 GHz, three Cortex A78 cores clocked at 2.42 GHz, and four Cortex-A55 power-efficient cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. The GPU is Adreno 660.

As far as other specs are concerned, the device will be equipped with a 6.78-inch LCD screen with a 144Hz screen refresh rate. The phone is expected to come with a 4,700mAh battery that will support 33W fast charging. It is reported that the Motorola Edge S30 will boast a 108MP primary camera similar to the Edge 20 series. The tipster also said that the phone would measure 8.8mm and weigh 202 grams. It appears that the Moto Edge S30 will be one of the few flagship smartphones in 2021 with an LCD display.

The Moto Edge S30 could be China’s version of the Moto G200 (aside from its battery and fast charging capabilities), which has already been announced globally and is scheduled for release in India within the next few weeks.

Moto G200 flaunts a 6.8-inch LCD screen that supports the DCI-P3 colour space, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an HDR10. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of native storage. There is a 5000 mAh battery that supports fast charging at 33W.

A triple-camera module is located on the back of the device comprising a 108MP f/1.9 primary sensor with 9-in-1 UltraPixel binning technology, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. It has a 16MP front-facing camera as well. MicroSD card slot and 3.5mm headphone jacks are not available on the phone.
