Motorola Edge S Pro moniker was confirmed by a promotional video shared by the brand on Weibo, the Chinese microblogging platform. A successor to the Motorola Edge S will launch on August 5. This Lenovo-owned company teased some of the features of the Motorola Edge S Pro, and it will be sleek and lightweight, feature the company’s ‘Ready for’ technology, and more.
In a video shared on its Weibo account, Motorola demonstrated the ‘Ready for’ functionality of an upcoming phone, believed to be the Motorola Edge S Pro. Live streaming of the Chinese launch event will take place on August 5 at 7:30 pm local time (5 pm IST). While the promotional video focuses on the Ready for functionality that allows users to connect the phone to an external display, as well as other features, a couple of other specifications were revealed via the Lenovo website and Weibo page.
In addition to 50X zoom, the Motorola Edge S Pro offers 5G connectivity, a 6.99mm thickness, and weighs 163 grams. This phone could be marketed in China as a rebranded Motorola Edge 20 Pro that was unveiled alongside the Motorola Edge 20 and Edge 20 Lite in the global market. The Motorola Edge S Pro may come with the Snapdragon 870 SoC – just like the Motorola Edge S – and a 6.7-inch display with a high refresh rate of at least 90Hz.
The device could also have a triple rear camera setup with a primary camera of 108 MP, a secondary camera of 16 MP with an ultra-wide and macro lens, and an 8 MP camera with 5x high-resolution optical zoom and a 50X Super Zoom telephoto lens. Also, Motorola Edge S Pro is expected to have a 4,500mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.
