Motorola Edge+ confirmed launch in India on May 19: Here’s all you need to know

Soon after a hint of the launch of Motorola’s flagship smartphone in India by the Country Head of Motorola India, Prashant Mani, Flipkart has now teased the launch of Motorola Edge+ smartphone in India on May 19. 

As per the Flipkart teaser, the Motorola Edge+ smartphone will be launched on 19 May at 12 pm (noon). Unfortunately, the listing does not reveal the pricing and availability details of the phone. Moreover, Motorola will only launch the Edge+ in India and not the regular Motorola Edge. Both the Motorola Edge and Motorola Edge+ were launched in the US back in April.

Motorola Edge+ Specifications

Motorola Edge+ features a curved 6.7-inch OLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution of 2520 × 1080 pixels. The screen has a 90Hz refresh rate, 21:9 aspect ratio, and HDR10+ certification. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor on the phone.

It is backed by Snapdragon 865 SoC with Adreno 650 GPU alongside 12GB LPPDDR5 RAM which is paired with 256GB UFS 3.0 of native storage. The device runs Android 10 OS. It comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with 18W wired and 15W wireless fast charging, 5W wireless reverse charging.

In the camera department, the Motorola Edge+ has a 108-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and 0.8-micron pixel size, a 16-megapixel 117-degree ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera that comes with OIS support and provides 3x optical zoom output. The primary sensor utilizes 4-in-1 pixel binning technology to provide 27-megapixel photos. The rear camera setup is also paired with the Time of Flight (ToF) sensor. For selfies, there is a 25-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and 0.9-micron pixel size for clicking selfies. 

Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack.
