Moto Z4 Play Allegedly Passes Through FCC

FCC has just certified a new Motorola smartphone with model number XT1980-3. The smartphone is believed to be the still unannounced Moto Z4 Play and it could indicate Sony is preparing to launch the device in the coming months.

According to the reports, the Moto Z4 Play is expected to arrive with a 6.22-inch Super AMOLED display with a U-shaped notch and a fingerprint sensor under the display. The device is likely to be fuelled by Qualcomm 11nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone will most likely run Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. There is no information about when Lenovo-owned Motorola plans to release this smartphone.

According to the FCC documentation, the device measures 157mm x 75 mm in terms of height and width. The database further goes on revealing that the alleged Motorola phone with the model number XT1980-3 will have Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and FM radio. From the location of the FCC info label, the report claims that the smartphone will have a 3600mAh battery with up to 18W wired fast charging support. In terms of optics, the device is said to feature a 48-megapixels primary sensor at the rear. Since the phone has been spotted via a limiting on FCC, not many features have been revealed so far.
