Moto G62 India launch date, specifications officially revealed

Motorola has officially confirmed that the Moto G62 will launch in India on August 11th. The phone will be sold on Flipkart similar to other Moto phones, and the website has a dedicated microsite revealing some of its key specifications. 

Moto G62 will have support for 12 5G bands. The device will come with a 120Hz FHD+ display, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, 50MP triple cameras, and a 5000mAh battery.

This budget phone from Motorola made its debut globally originally in June. Unlike the global variant, which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC, the Indian variant will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor.

Moto G62 price in India (expected)

In India, the Moto G62 is expected to cost between Rs 15,000 and Rs 17,000. Thus, it will sit below the Moto G82.

Moto G62 Specifications

Moto G62 is equipped with a 6.52-inch FHD+ display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole cutout. Powering it is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset combined with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB storage space expandable up to 1TB.

In terms of optics, the Moto G62 has three rear cameras: a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle / depth camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is a 16MP camera with an f/2.45 aperture for selfies and video calls.

It is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. It comes pre-installed with Android 12 OS.

Moto G62 features an IP52 rating, Dolby Atmos, stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ AGPS, NFC.
