After the launch of new Moto G series phones that s Moto G6 and Moto G6 play on last month. Moto lovers may have disappointed that the most impressive phone of a G6 family the Moto G6 plus wasn’t launched at that time. But the waiting didn’t go vain. Now, the company looks all set to launch the Moto G6 Plus variant in India soon. Motorola has started teasing the smartphone launch via its Twitter handle. However, the company hasn’t revealed the launch date yet.
The Lenovo-owned company’s India Twitter handle on Thursday posted a teaser “It’s time to ask for more from your smartphone. Get ready to say hello to the #MotoG6Plus, which is #BuiltForMore with a smart camera and serious performance! Stay tuned,” the tweet reads.

The teaser includes a 16-second video that confirms the arrival of the Moto G6 Plus in the country. The company is touting the presence of a ‘smart’ camera in the smartphone that is “BuiltForMore”.
Moto G6 Plus specifications
The smartphone sports a tall 5.9-inch Full HD+ 18:9 display. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 630 SoC with octa-core CPU, paired with 4GB or 6GB RAM options, and 64GB onboard storage. A microSD card slot for further expansion is also present.
For snappers, the smartphone comes with a dual-camera setup at the rear comprising of a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor. Up front is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling, along with an LED flash.
The phone packs 3200mAh battery with support for Motorola’s TurboPower adaptor (which is claimed to deliver 7 hours of use on a charge of 15 minutes). It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, the smartphone comes with face unlock and a fingerprint sensor embedded inside the Moto logo at the back.
In terms of connectivity, The handset includes dual-SIM card slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
Pricing
As for now, the price of the phone yet to be revealed. But considering the price of previous G series phones Moto G6 Play is priced at Rs 11,999, and Moto G6 starts at Rs 13,999, the Plus variant could be priced closer to Rs 20,000 price point.
