In the upcoming days, Motorola is set to launch a new range of smartphones. The Lenovo-owned brand is expected to introduce the world’s first phone to feature a 200MP camera and it is also planning to launch a Razr 3 flip phone with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
The company is also gearing up to announce a few Moto G series smartphones in the near future. Now, the Moto G42 has been spotted on the benchmarking site Geekbench. Here is what we know so far.
The Moto G42 will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC codenamed “hawao”, which refers to the Snapdragon 680 4G chip. It will be coupled with the Adreno 610 GPU. On Geekbench, the device is listed with 4GB of RAM. The device may come with more RAM and storage at launch.
Furthermore, it comes with Android 12 pre-installed. The device achieved 376 points on the single-core test, and 1538 on the multi-core test.
TDRA previously listed it with the “XT2233-2” model number, revealing its moniker. The device was also found on EEC, TDRA, WiFi certification, and FCC certification websites with the “XT2233-1” model number. In addition, the device has received BIS certification indicating the launch in India.
In terms of specifications, the phone is expected to include an OLED panel, NFC, a Type-C port, dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, and a triple camera on the back.
