Motorola has now confirmed the launch of its Moto G22 smartphone in India this month. The device will be launched on April 8 in the country.
An official Flipkart microsite has been published for the upcoming phone confirming the availability on Flipkart once it is launched. This listing also reveals the specifications of the upcoming Moto G22 smartphone.
Earlier this month, the Moto G22 debuted in Europe in three colour options: Pearl White, Cosmic Black, and Iceberg Blue. According to Flipkart, the device is available in Cosmic Black, and Iceberg Blue colours. Motorola has not yet revealed the price of the Moto G22 in India. However, we expect the smartphone to cost between Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000 in India.

Moto G22 is fitted with a 6.5-inch LCD with HD+ resolution, support for a 90Hz refresh rate, and a centered punch-hole. The device features a MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, accompanied by 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. You can expand the device’s storage with the microSD card.
On the back, there is a quad-camera setup. There is a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, a 2MP macro snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 16MP camera located inside the punch-hole of the phone for taking selfies and video calls.
It boots Android 12 OS out of the box with 3 years of assured security updates. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and it is splash-resistant. A 5,000mAh battery powers the device, and the Indian variant will support 20W fast charging instead of 15W.
In terms of connectivity, the handset offers a USB Type-C port for charging, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Wi-Fi 5, and GPS. It weighs 185 grams.
