Moto G Stylus New Leak Reveals Key Features and Specifications

Lenovo-owned Motorola is working on its upcoming smartphones, which include Moto G8, Moto G8 Power, and the Moto G Stylus. Of these three, several earlier reports confirmed that the Moto G Stylus smartphone will come equipped with a Stylus that we’ve seen on the Samsung Note series smartphones.

We’ve been treated to a number of leaks and reports about the Moto G Stylus which revealed the internals of the device. However, we now appear to have real key features and specifications of this upcoming Motorola device.

Moto G Stylus features, full specifications leaked online

According to a new report by XDA Developers, the Moto G Stylus will come equipped with a new inbuilt application that will utilize the stylus. Users will be able to open an application or launch a shortcut when the stylus is removed from the body. 

Moreover, the app will allow the users to use their finger as an eraser while writing notes or drawing using the stylus. Also, there will be an option to insert a watermark with the date on any notes taken by the stylus. 

The report also claims that with this Moto Stylus app, the user will be able to track the location of the stylus. This inbuilt app will also record the time and location of the device where the user has removed the stylus from the body. When the stylus hasn’t been re-inserted into the handset for a period of time, the app will send a notification reminding users to insert the stylus.

Moto G Stylus Specifications

Moto G Stylus may come with a display size of 6.36-inch with Full HD+ resolution and a punch-hole selfie camera. Under the hood, Moto G Stylus is expected to get powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal memory. There could be a 4,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support on the Moto G Stylus. The handset is likely to run Android 10 OS out of the box.

In terms of optics, the Moto G Stylus will feature a triple-camera setup that will include a 48-megapixel primary lens with f/1.7 aperture and a Samsung S5KGM1 sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 16-megapixel 117-degree wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. A 25-megapixel snapper is on the front for selfies and video chats.
