Moto G Fast, Moto E (2020) launched with Android 10 OS, Snapdragon processor

Motorola has launched its new smartphones under its G and E series – Moto G Fast, Moto E (2020). Both the smartphones are powered by a Snapdragon processor and run on the latest Android 10 operating system.

Moto G Fast, Moto E (2020) price, availability

Starting with the price, the Moto G Fast launched for $199.99 (approx. Rs. 15,100) for the single 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. It comes in a single Pearl White color variant. 

Moto E (2020), on the other hand, comes with a price tag of $149.99 (approx. Rs. 11,300) for the single, 2GB + 32GB storage option. It has a Midnight Blue colour option. 

Both Moto G Fast and Moto E will be available for buyers in the US starting June 12 and they are already up for pre-orders, Unfortunately, the brand is yet to reveal the global launch date.

Moto G Fast specifications

Moto G Fast flaunts a 6.4-inch HD+ Max Vision display with 720×1,560 pixels screen resolution, 268ppi of pixel density and 19:9 aspect ratio. Powering the device is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The storage is further expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB).

In the camera department, there is a triple camera setup on the rear that houses a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 lens, along with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens that has a field of view (FoV) of 118 degrees and a 2-megapixel sensor that has an f/2.2 macro lens. There is also an 8-megapixel ( f/2.0) sensor at the front for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board are accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. It features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Ticking all these is a 4,000mAh battery that supports 10W rapid charging and up to two days of battery life on a single charge. The handset measures 161.87×75.7×9.05mm and weighs 189.4 grams.

Moto E (2020) Specifications

The Moto E (2020) boasts a 6.2-inch HD+ (720×1,520 pixels) Max Vision display with 271ppi of pixel density and 19:9 aspect ratio. It is fuelled by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB).. 

For photography, it has a dual rear camera setup that consists of a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.0 lens and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 lens. For selfies and video calls, it has a 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 lens.

 The phone is juiced up by a 3,550mAh battery that supports standard 5W charging and is claimed to deliver up to two days of battery life on a single charge. The handset measures 159.77×76.56×8.65mm and weighs 185 grams.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on the device are accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, proximity, and it also has a rear-mounted fingerprint.
