On December 9, the Motorola Edge X30 will be officially unveiled in China. This will be the first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Chen Jin, Lenovo China General Manager for the mobile division, shared an image to show the Moto Edge X30 display. The company has also confirmed some of the key features of the X30’s screen.

Motorola confirms that the Edge X30’s screen will support a 144Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colors, and HDR10+. On the image, we can clearly see the punch-hole display with narrow bezels. There are almost no differences between the upper and lower bezels of the phone. According to the TENAA listing, the device will sport a 6.67-inch OLED screen that delivers a Full HD+ resolution.

It will have a 60-megapixel camera on the front. According to reports, the rear camera system includes a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 5-megapixel secondary lens, and a 2-megapixel camera.

In addition to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, the Edge X30 will pack up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It will be preloaded with Android 11. 5000mAh battery will power the phone, which supports 68W fast charging.

Edge X30 is rumored to come with an IP52 rated chassis, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, a Google Assistant key, and stereo speakers. Globally, it is expected to launch in January as Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.
