Moto E40 unveiled: Check price, specs and India launch details

Moto E40, the latest device in the E-series, has been announced by Motorola. Moto E40 is a budget-friendly smartphone from Motorola that features an IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, Unisoc T700 chipset, 5000mAh battery, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Here are the specifications and pricing of the new Moto E40.

Moto E40 Pricing, Availability

Moto E40 comes in Carbon Gray and Pink Clay colours. The smartphone will be available in Europe for EUR 149 (approx. Rs 12,900) for the lone 4GB/64GB variant. Motorola also confirmed that the Moto E40 will launch in India on October 12. It will be sold on Flipkart.

Moto E40 Specifications

The Moto E40 features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution with support for a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole at the center that houses a selfie shooter. Powering the device is an octa-core Unisoc T700 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. A microSD card can be used to expand the smartphone’s storage up to 512GB.


Moto E40 comes preinstalled with Android 11 and MyUX skin. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back of the handset. There is also a dedicated key for Google Assistant on the right side of the handset.

In terms of optics, the Moto E40 has a triple-camera setup. This rear-camera setup combines a 48MP primary main camera with a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth camera. Also on the front of the phone, there’s an 8MP camera.

The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. Motorola claims that the E40 can be used for two days on a single charge. In terms of connectivity, the phone features dual-SIM card support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C. The phone measures 168.1×75.6×9.1mm and weighs 198 grams.
