Micromax YU ACE Gets Massive Price Cut, Is this a challenge to Xiaomi Redmi 5A?

Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart hosting Big Billion Days sale which kicks of on October 10, 2018. Ahead of the launch, the e-tailer is revealing the exciting offers on selected gadgets. As with every major sale in the past, some of the top deals can be found on smartphones, and this year, companies are offering as much as 62 per cent discount on their devices.

Flipkart is offering fantastic offers on the latest launched smartphones too where it revealed that the 3GB RAM variant of the recently launched YU Ace smartphone will be up for grabs during the Big Billion Days Sale for a discounted price of just Rs.5,499 during the sale on Flipkart from October 10 onwards. This smartphone is launched as a rival competitor to the Xiaomi’s Redmi 5A  and updated to Redmi 6A in August, and was recently made available for purchase on Flipkart as well.

However, there are no details the exact date and time of the YU Ace flash sale during the Big Billion Days Sale. These details are likely to become available once the sale formally kicks off on the 10th of this month. Apart from the temporary price cut, Flipkart customers will also be able to avail No Cost EMI options on the smartphone during the sale. As said by Flipkart, the select buyers will get EMI options even without a credit card as a part of company’s Cardless Credit offer.

Why YU ACE is better than Redmi 5A?

Bigger display:

The YU Ace features a 5.45-inch display with an HD+ resolution of 1440×720 pixels. The display also supports the taller aspect ratio of 18:9. While the Redmi 5A (review) sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a much more traditional 720 x 1280 pixels HD resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio.

Mammoth battery:

The YU ACE is packed by as a massive 4000mAh capacity battery that can provide all-day battery life. Xiaomi Redmi 5A is fueled by a significantly smaller 3000mAh cell.

Fingerprint Sensor:

The YU Ace sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for protection to personal files and unlocks the phone. While Xiaomi Redmi 5A lacks not only fingerprint sensor but also it doesn’t support facial recognition for easy unlocking.

Dual 4G VoLTE Support:

Another impressive feature that sets the YU Ace apart from most of its rivals is support for Dual 4G VoLTE. While the Redmi 5A does support 4G VoLTE, it lacks Dual 4G VoLTE support.

Apart from this, The most impressive feature in the smartphone is its shiny look it sports very shiny plastic, which unfortunately looks more gaudy than expensive. Where it almost making similar look as premium smartphones.
