Indian smartphone maker Micromax is set to launch a new smartphone in India on November 3. The company took to Twitter to tease the design of the upcoming smartphone. The company posted a video on the official Twitter handle which shows a smartphone from the rear side.
Micromax is teasing the arrival of new ’In’ series smartphones, and while it doesn’t explicitly mention the name of the upcoming smartphones. The teaser shows that the phone will have an ‘X’ pattern with a gradient finish on the back. Its design looks somewhat like the Honor smartphones. The tweet from the brand states “India’s style makes heads turn. We’ve designed our new smartphones to do just that.” The phone has a full-screen display and tapped edges.
The teasers do not mention the specs of the devices, but the company has confirmed the phones will pack the MediaTek Helio G series processor. Micromax has partnered with MediaTek to design and develop its smartphones at the R&D center located in Bangalore, India.
Rahul Sharma, co-founder of Micromax, in a recent interview, revealed that the upcoming ‘IN’ series of smartphones will have a price between Rs 7,000 and Rs 25,000. He also said that the ‘IN’ Series smartphones are being made mainly for gamers. Further, he stated that the ‘IN’ series of smartphones will run on Google’s Android operating system.
Going by the recent report, the forthcoming Micromax ‘IN’ series devices will have a 6.5-inch HD+ display. Under the hood, it will pack an Helio G35 SoC with 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage. For optics, there will be a dual-rear camera setup. All these will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery. Meanwhile, the premium variant will pack an Helio G85 processor and a triple camera setup.
