After the comeback to smartphone market with YU Ace, company entered the TV market with the new YU Yuphoria Smart Television. Yu has launched its 40-inch smart TV in India with a price tag of Rs 18,499 and it will exclusively be available on Amazon starting October 10 in an open sale.
The new TV allows the user to cast media from their smartphone to the TV. “We strongly believe that smart TVs are the future in this segment and we are excited to see how the consumers take to our newest entry,” Rajesh Agarwal, Co-Founder, Micromax Informatics Ltd., said in a statement.
“With the launch of the YU Smart TV, we are extremely excited to enter the consumer electronics space under YU for the first time. This entry is a testament of our larger strategy of becoming a full-fledged consumer electronics brand.” he added.
The Yu Yuphoria smart TV is powered by the quad core processor for high speed processing and the “Airplay” lets the user to connect Apple devices for sharing media content with their close ones.
“Its Wireless Smartphone Control is a one-stop-shop to augment the gaming experience for their users. Now, one can simply connect their smartphones with the TV and not just play games through their smartphone, but also operate the entire TV at the touch of just a few buttons on their smartphones,” the company stated.
This TV also supports apps from the Aptoide App store and user can download many popular apps such as YouTube, Hotstar, MiScreen TV apps from the App Store.
