Meizu Note 9 with 48MP Camera and Snapdragon 675 Launched: Specifications, Features and Price

Back in October last year, Chinese smartphone brand Meizu launched the Meizu Note 8 in China with a starting price of CNY 1,298 (roughly Rs. 13,700). Now, further expanding its portfolio of Note Series smartphones in China, Meizu has launched the Meizu Note 9 at an event yesterday.

The new Meizu Note 9 will compete with Xiaomi’s new Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro with its great specifications, build, and a low price. The major highlight of the phone is 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor on the rear, Snapdragon 675 and waterdrop notch.

Meizu Note 9 Specifications and Features

Taking about the innards, the Meizu Note 9 comes with Snapdragon 675 SoC running the show that’s paired with up to 6 GB RAM. The smartphone boots up to Flyme OS 7.2 out-of-the-box which is based on Android Pie.

The back of the smartphone is also home to a dual camera setup that’s placed in the top-left corner in a vertical orientation, and, a fingerprint scanner that’s placed a bit down below in the center.

Photography department on the Meizu Note 9 is handled by a 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor accompanied by a 5-megapixel depth sensor at the back, and, a 20-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture camera on the front. The camera features include AI Face Unlock and Beauty Mode.

The Meizu Note 9 comes with 64 GB of internal storage. The smartphone is offered in three colors – Black, White and Blue colors – and, it ships with a 4000 mAh battery with 18W fast charge support.

In terms of the connectivity options, the Meizu Note 9 brings Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, and USB Type-C.

Meizu Note 9 Price and Availability

Talking about the price of the Meizu Note 9, the base model with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM is priced at RMB 1,398 (approx. Rs 15,000), while the mid variant with 128GB storage and 4GB RAM is priced at RMB 1,598 (approx. Rs 17,000). Lastly, the top model with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM is priced the same as the mid variant that is RMB 1,598 (approx. Rs 17,000). The smartphone will go on the first sale on March 11.
