Meet the smartphone with nine cameras : Light

| By Shandilya

If you are still “excited” to see triple camera phones and 5 camera phones then keep it reserved, because now you are going to experience a smartphone with up to nine cameras, It’s not a joke.

The company which is developing the smartphone with up to nine cameras is none other than Light, To recall, Light launched its L16 camera, a “multi-aperture computational camera” that features 16 lenses made available in July last year. Ten or more of those lenses capture an image at the same time under different focal lengths; the camera stitches those images into a single 52-megapixel photo.

According to the reports in Washington post, The company showed the publication various concepts and prototypes that contained between five and nine lenses on its rear. The design, the company claims, can capture 64-megapixel photos, take better low-light shots, and incorporate advanced depth effects. It will announce a multi-lens smartphone later this year, says Light. But there is no word about the price.

Just for the sake of comparison, the L16 costs $1,950. If the company’s smartphone is going to be anywhere near that price point, then it’s hard to imagine it’ll sell many units, especially given that the phone is going to be made by a company that’s a newcomer in terms of mobile devices.

Fortunately, There is no long wait to get it— The Washington Post report says that Light will be announcing a phone with its camera technology later this year.

For now, Huawei P20 Pro has three lenses on the rear and is the industry best. And there is also report on next Samsung flagship (Samsung Galaxy S10)would bear a triple camera setup. while Apple is said to follow with the launch of its new iPhone next year.

Over the years, Smartphone is developing very fast What more astonishing is the Camera features it is a good news to see a company like Light to innovate this department.
