LG Velvet launched in India for Rs 36,990

The LG Velvet phone has gone official today in India. The company has launched the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant in India for Rs 36,990 in India while another option with a Dual-Screen accessory costs Rs 49,990. It will go on sale in India from October 30th across online platforms and offline stores.

LG Velvet specifications and features

The LG Velvet measures 167.2×74.1×7.9mm and 180 grams. It is shielded by IP68 and MIL-STD 810G certifications for durability. The phone also has a unique 3D Arc design with slightly curved edges and Wacom stylus support with 4096 pressure levels. The 6.8-inch Cinema FullVision OLED supports a Full HD+ resolution, 2340 × 1080 pixels resolution, and 20.5: 9 aspect ratio. The phone comes with a waterdrop notch and it has an in-display fingerprint reader. The Android 10 OS comes preloaded on the LG Velvet.

The rear-facing triple camera system of the LG Velvet is led by a 48-megapixel main camera. It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. It supports 1080p slow-motion video shooting and up to 8K video recording. For selfies and video calls, it has a 16-megapixel camera.

The LG Velvet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. The SoC is assisted by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with support for 1TB additional storage via microSD card. The phone is backed by a 4,300mAh battery with support for fast charging and 10W wireless charging as well. The phone comes with other features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port.
