Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G Edition With Snapdragon 855 SoC, X50 5G Modem Launched: Specifications, Price

At MWC Shanghai, Lenovo unveiled its 5G smartphone integrated with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X50 5G modem dubbed as the Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G Edition. It is essentially the same premium flagship that the company had announced in April this year, but powered by the Snapdragon 855 and the 5G modem.

As we mentioned earlier, the original Lenovo Z6 Pro debuted with a Snapdragon 845 chipset. For the 5G variant, Lenovo has ditched the Snapdragon 845 and gone for the Snapdragon 855 SoC. Rest of the specifications on the 5G edition of Lenovo Z6 Pro remains the same.

Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G Edition Specifications

The new Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G edition still sports the 6.39-inch Samsung AMOLED FHD+ display with HDR10 support. The smartphone has a sixth-generation screen photoelectric fingerprint sensor which claims to unlock the phone in 0.13 seconds.

For the cameras, there’s an AI quad camera setup on the rear. The rear camera setup includes 48MP primary Sony IMX586 sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and other two 16MP and 8MP sensors for ultra-wide-angle and telephoto zoom photos. The front camera gets a 32-megapixel shooter.

The Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G edition runs on the Lenovo’s ZUI 11 which is based on the Android 9 Pie. Alongside supporting 27W super fast charging through a Dual USB-Type C port, the Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G edition packs a 4,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual SIM, VoLTE, Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Along with the Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G Edition, the company also launched its 5G laptop, which comes with a 14-inch display. Under the hood, the laptop is powered by the Snapdragon 8cx SoC clocked at 2.75GHz. There is a Snapdragon X55 modem to support 5G networks.
