This week seems to be a launch week for Lenovo. The company alongside with Lenovo Z5s and the world’s first smartphone with 12GB RAM and Snapdragon 855 chipset, Lenovo Z5 Pro GT has also announced the Lenovo S5 Pro GT variant in China. This is the refreshed version of S5 Pro dubbed as Lenovo S5 Pro GT. The handset flaunts almost similar specifications as that of standard version that was launched back in October.With a few improvements in the chipset that is slightly more powerful.

Specifications and Features

On the part of Specifications, the Lenovo S5 Pro GT now have an improved processor Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 chipset slightly powerful than its standard version Snapdragon 636 SoC.The device is also coupled with three memory combinations : 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB.Interestingly all these three variants have an expandable option via micro Sd slot.

Talking about Display, the Lenovo S5 Pro GT sports a 6.2-inch notch-toting IPS LCD that bears Full HD+ resolution and 18.7:9 aspect ratio.

For shutterbugs, the handset features a combination of 12-megapixel f/1.8 + 20-megapixel f/2.6 sensors on the rear with LED flash. For selfies, The device boasts dual camera setup of 20-megapixel + 8-megapixel sensors for selfies and video calling. On the software front, The device is preloaded with Android 8.1 Oreo-based ZenUI and houses a 3,500mAh battery with 18W fast-charging.In terms of Biometrics, The S5 Pro GT has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IR face unlocks for security. Apart from this, you get a USB-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack at the bottom, gaming mode, Bluetooth 5.0, Dirac audio, and dual-SIM support.

Pricing

The Lenovo S5 Pro GT price has been set at RMB 1,198 (~Rs 12,500) for the base 4GB + 64GB variant. The 6GB + 64GB option cost RMB 1,298 (~Rs 14,500), while the 6GB + 128GB model cost RMB 1,498 (~Rs 16,500). The phone comes in three shades: Black, Gold, and Blue, and goes for sale in China December 24th onwards.
