Lenovo made a comeback to the Indian smartphone market with a new two smartphones. The company has launched the new Lenovo K9 and the Lenovo A5 models in India at Rs 8,999 and Rs 5,999 respectively. Both smartphones will be available exclusively via Flipkart. The company made a comeback to the Indian smartphone market after almost one year as they launched their Lenovo K8 Note in August last year. K8 Note was one of the successors from the company, competed with Xiaomi’s popular Redmi Note 4.
Lenovo K9 Specifications
The Lenovo K9 offers a 5.7-inch HD+ screen with metal body and a 2.5D glass on the front and back. The new smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. The device is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. The storage of the phone can be further expanded through the microSD card.
In terms of optics, the new Lenovo K9 comes with a dual camera setup on the back with 13MP and 5MP cameras. On the front, the device holds a 13 Mp + 5 MP cameras. Both the front and rear cameras feature a flash. The cameras of the phone offer AI-based bokeh, beautify, low-light and back-light. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor along with an AI-based facial recognition system. The device runs on the Android Oreo 8.1.
Connectivity options available on the device include USB Type-C port, OTG, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headphone jack and dual 4G VoLTE. The sensors of the device include sensors include an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope and fingerprint sensor.
The new Lenovo K9 is priced at Rs. 8,999 in India for the 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant. The device will be sold in black and blue color variants.
Lenovo A5 Specifications
The Lenovo A5 sports a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display. The Lenovo A5 is powered by the quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor, paired with 3GB/ 4GB of RAM and 32GB/ 64GB of onboard storage. The device comes with a dedicated microSD card slot for further expansion of Storage up to 256GB.
On the camera department, the Lenovo A5 has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The Lenovo A5 backs a 4,000 mAh battery and microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB. It has a rear fingerprint sensor, and AI-based face unlock. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Lenovo A5 comes in three color options of black, gold and pink. The phone price starts at Rs 5,999 for the base model with 2GB RAM plus 16GB storage, and Rs 6,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant.
