A new flagship smartphone series will be launched soon by iQOO. August 4 is the launch date for iQOO 8 series in China. A number of key details about the flagship smartphone have already been revealed by iQOO.
iQOO 8 series leaked specifications
iQOO has already confirmed that the phone will feature a Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC. It will be the phone is the first to come equipped with Qualcomm’s flagship smartphone processor. Two important improvements have been made by Qualcomm to the ‘Plus’ variant. As a result, the SoC’s core CPU speed is increased to 2.995GHz, compared to 2.84GHz on the SD888 SoC. It also improves AI performance by 20 percent.
More details about the device have been released by Tipster Digital Chat Station ahead of its launch. V2141A / PD2141 is the model number of the device and offers 12GB of RAM. The phone will support 4GB of extended RAM.
The display will be 2K with a resolution of 3200 x 1440. Even though there is no information on the screen size, the tipster notes that the device will feature high refresh rate support. There is a good chance it will support a refresh rate of at least 120Hz. Moreover, the tipster claims that the device will include a single hole-punch camera cutout on the center of the display. It is tipped to pack a 4000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
The phone will be pre-installed with Android 11-based Vivo’s OriginOS. It will pack internal storage of 256GB. We still do not have official confirmation on the phone’s other details.
