Xiaomi is all set to bring a flagship smartphone to its Redmi series. Xiaomi teased a full-screen Redmi smartphone with a pop-up camera in a video came on Weibo. The video which was revealed has many Redmi smartphones which were already launched and this unknown-upcoming smartphone with a pop-up selfie camera.
Manu Kumar Jain, Global VP and Managing Director, Xiaomi tweeted on Twitter hinting the launch of a smartphone with Snapdragon 730. No other information was revealed yet. But some leaks which came out suggests that Xiaomi is working to bring a Redmi device with a pop-up selfie camera, Snapdragon 730 SoC, triple camera setup on the back and, 4,000mAh battery. The three cameras on the rear comprising of a 48MP primary camera, 8-megapixel depth effect camera and a 13-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens.

As we already know that Qualcomm announced the latest Snapdragon 730 and Snapdragon 730G processors. This chipset comes with Kryo 470 octa-core CPU along with Adreno 618 GPU for gaming and supports 4K video recording in portrait mode at 60fps.
It is also expected that the upcoming Redmi branded smartphone with premium features may come with a price tag around Rs 20,000 – Rs.25,000. Some leaks also suggested that this flagship Redmi will be powered with Snapdragon 855, not Snapdragon 730/730G.
The video which surfaced online didn’t reveal the name of the smartphone or any other features. If leaks are to be believed that this upcoming smartphone may be named as Redmi Pro 2 in China and Poco F2 in India. We should await the official unveil about the smartphone for more detailed information.
