The Indian smartphone brand, Lava launched a new budget smartphone in India on Thursday – the Lava Z71 priced under Rs 7,000. The Lava Z71 comes in Ruby Red and Steel Blue color options for buyers and it will be available in e-commerce site Flipkart. The phone includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that sits right below the dual-camera module. It also supports the face unlock feature.
Lava Z71 Specifications
It has a 5.7-inch HD+ display with a dot notch screen, 19:9 aspect ratio, and a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, the device has a 2GHz quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 16nm processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It comes with a microSD card slot expandable up to 256GB.
In terms of optics, the dual-camera setup on the rear of the Lava Z71 includes a combination of a 13-megapixel primary lens and a 2-megapixel secondary shooter. Upfront, there is a 5-megapixel sensor with a soft flash for selfies and video calling. The camera has an AI Studio mode that captures images in six different camera modes.
The Lava Z71 runs on Android 9 Pie. It is powered by a 3200mAh battery. The device is claimed to offer 1.5 days of battery backup in a single charge. Connectivity features on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, dual-SIM, micro USB port and GPS.

The new Lava Z71 is priced at Rs 6,299 in India and it is available in Ruby Red and Steel Blue color options on Flipkart. As far as the launch offers are concerned, the special Jio offers on Lava Z71 include a Rs 1,200 instant cashback along with 50GB of additional data on the purchase of the phone. Buyers will get 24 cashback vouchers of Rs 50 each in the MyJio app on the recharge of Rs 198 and Rs 299 prepaid plans. The 50 GB additional 4G data is credited in the form of one additional data voucher of 5GB per recharge for a maximum of 10 recharges.
