As Apple announced its new tablets at their Spring Loaded event, the iPad Pro 2021 price in India, specifications and availability details have all gone official. Its design is similar to the last year’s models, but it features several improvements. Both the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2021 models are powered by the M1 chip, bringing the performance of Apple’s flagship tablets in line with the MacBooks that debuted last year. According to Apple, these new iPad Pro tablets perform 50 percent better than previous models.
iPad Pro 2021 price in India, Availability
The iPad Pro 2021 is available in India for a starting price of Rs 71,900 for the 128GB storage model and Rs 80,900 for the 256GB model. For the 512GB and 1TB storage models, the prices are Rs 98,900 and Rs 1,34,900 respectively. Rs 1,70,900 is the price for the 2TB storage model.
The 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2021 is priced at Rs 99,900 for the base 128GB storage variant and Rs 1,08,901 and Rs 1,26,901 for the 256GB and 512GB storage versions respectively. For the 1TB and the 2TB storage variants, the price tags are Rs 1,62,900 and Rs 1,98,900 respectively.
In Space Gray and Silver colour options, both models will be available for pre-order starting April 30th and sales starting in the second half of May.
iPad Pro 2021 Specifications
Both the 12.9 and 11-inch iPad Pro 2021 are powered by the Apple M1 silicone, which has a storage capacity of up to 2TB. Apple says the chip includes new features including a “next-generation 16-core Apple Neural engine”, an “advanced image signal processor”, and more than 1,500 times the faster graphics performance. Moreover, the tablets support PS5 and Xbox controllers with haptics, Wi-Fi 6, Thunderbolt 3, and USB 4 connectivity, as well as 5G connectivity.
With a resolution of 2388 x 1688 pixels and a brightness of 600 nits for the 11-inch model, the 12.9-inch model boasts an iMac quality Liquid Retina XDR display. According to Apple, the XDR display boasts 2,732 x 2,048 resolution, 10,000 Mini LEDs in over 2,500 local dimming zone, 1600 nits peak brightness, 1,000 nits of brightness, and a 1 million-to-one contrast ratio. New iPad Pro 2021 tablets are claimed to have up to 10 hours of battery life on Wi-Fi models and nine hours on Wi-Fi + Cellular models.
With slim front bezels and a squarish camera module on the back, the iPad Pro 2021 looks like last year’s models. The new 12MP 120-degree ultra-wide selfie camera is available on the new iPad Pro 12.9-inch, as well as the 11-inch model. The sensor is backed by a True depth sensor for Face ID and ‘Centre Stage’ feature that pans the camera as you move around and adjust the focal length automatically. Similarly, Apple has upgraded the rear camera of the iPad Pro 2021. Apple claims the ISP and LIDAR scanner will provide excellent detail in low-light conditions.
The iPad Pro 2021 also supports up to 16GB of RAM, Apple Pencil, the Smart Keyboard Folio, and the Magic Keyboard. Additionally, it comes with a one-meter USB-C charging cable and a 20W USB-C power adapter.
