Launch Date for the LG V50 ThinQ 5G Smartphone Confirmed

South Korean smartphone maker LG has scheduled a launch event on May 10 where the company is all set to launch its 5G version of LG V50 ThinQ smartphone. Obviously, the smartphone will go on sale on May 10 in the company’s home country South Korea. The smartphone is then expected to be released in the US shortly afterward. However, the company hasn’t confirmed anything about the launch date and price. To recall, the company has launched the LG V50 ThinQ and LG G8 ThinQ smartphones at the MWC 2019.

Talking about the LG V50 ThinQ 5G smartphone price, it is expected to launch at KRW 1,199,000 (approx. Rs. 71,500) in South Korea.

The LG V50 ThinQ 5G smartphone comes with a 6.4-inch display and is powered by 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. It is supported by 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage and features a triple camera setup on the rear and a dual camera system on the front.

The triple rear camera setup on the rear comprises of 12-megapixels primary sensor, a 16-megapixels ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 12-megapixels telephoto sensor. Up front, the wider notch houses dual camera setup of 8-megapixels and 5-megapixels. It also features stereo speakers with DTS-X technology and 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC.

The device has a dedicated hardware button for Google Assistant. On the software front, it runs on latest Android 9 Pie operating system out of the box. The handset is MIL-STD 810G certified for its durability and IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. It also features Vapor Chamber to offer better heat-dissipation than the earlier used heat pipes. The device measures 159.1 x 76.1 x 8.3 mm and weighs around 183 grams.
