It is expected that the Jio Phone Next will launch in India next week. Prior to its launch, Jio Phone Next’s price in India has been leaked online. This will be the first smartphone the company has developed in collaboration with Google.

The Economic Times reports that Jio Phone Next will come in two models: Basic and Advanced. It is reported that these variants will cost Rs 5,000 and Rs 7,000, respectively. A customer interested in buying the phone can pay only 10% up-front. The remaining amount will be financed by the partner lenders.

According to reports, Jio has partnered with five banks, including State Bank of India, Piramal Capital, IDFC First Assure, and DMI Finance in order to finance sales of its upcoming entry-level 4G phone. Each bank reportedly have assured business worth Rs 10,000 crore.

In addition, the report predicted that Jio will sell up to 50 million Jio Phone Next devices in the first six months. In addition, four more Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) have pledged credit support of Rs 2,500 crore.

Jio Phone Next Specifications (Rumoured)

It is claimed that the Jio Phone Next will feature a display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. It will boot the Android 11 (Go Edition) operating system. There are still no details on RAM and Storage.

You can expect at least 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Jio Phone Next is also said to come with a voice assistant, language translation, a smart camera with AR filters, and more. In June, Ambani revealed the design of the phone.

It will run Android, designed specifically for Jio by Google. Additionally, the handset will receive regular Android updates and security patches.
