Jio has announced it will provide emergency data loans to its users. Customers can claim up to 5GB of 4G high-speed data with this service. Jio subscribers are entitled to borrow five such packs, each of which comes with 1GB of data. The emergency data pack can be borrowed and paid for later.
In the past, companies like Idea and Vodafone offered emergency credit packs that gave users about Rs 7 worth of talk time. Jio went one step further and launched an emergency data pack which is handy for those who are unable to recharge the add-on pack to their prepaid number in emergency times.
Jio said that users can borrow five such packs, with each pack having 1GB of mobile data. The 1GB data packs cost Rs 11. This plan will be valid until the base plan expires. Thus, the service is only available to Jio customers who have an active base plan.
