Vivo sub-brand iQOO appears to be preparing to launch a new device. According to 91mobiles, the new device will be called iQOO Z6 Lite, and according to the supply chain, it won’t have 5G connectivity. However, no official information has yet been released by iQOO about its upcoming smartphone.
As per the report, iQOO Z6 Lite resembles the Vivo T1x that was launched in India in July. Thus, it should be a budget 4G phone that will come as the base variant of iQOO’s mid-range Z series smartphones.
It is expected to launch in the second week of September. During this time, iQOO India is likely to start teasing the upcoming phone on social media accounts, with additional information likely to appear on e-commerce sites.
According to rumors, the iQOO Z6 Lite is expected to be a rebranded version of the Vivo T1x smartphone. The latter was equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 4G SoC, up to 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, a 6.58-inch full HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate, 50MP dual rear camera setup, an 8MP front camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
The iQOO Z6 Lite may have similar specs and would sit below the standard iQOO Z6. Vivo T1x uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC that supports 5G connectivity. Despite the same display size, the Z6 has a 120Hz refresh rate support. In addition, it is equipped with a 2MP camera unit at the back, as well as a 16MP camera at the front. Furthermore, the smartphone has up to 8GB of RAM.
91Mobiles reported that the iQOO Z6 Lite could be priced Rs 500 to Rs 700 less than the Vivo T1x, available for Rs 11,999 and Rs 14,999 in India. In addition, it will be available in more colours than the Vivo T1x, currently available in Gravity Black and Space Blue colour options.
