A new mid-range smartphone has been unveiled in India by Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO. Dubbed as iQOO Z5, the phone launched as a successor to the Z3 5G smartphone that was launched earlier this year. iQOO’s new smartphone comes with a few improvements over its predecessor. iQOO Z5 5G price in India, availability

It is available in two storage options: 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. The base variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage priced at Rs 23,990 while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option comes with a price tag of Rs 26,990. 

The phone is available in two color options – Mystic Space and Arctic Dawn. In India, the phone will go on sale from Amazon and iQOO India online store starting October 3.

iQOO Z5 5G Specifications

With a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display, the iQOO smartphone offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, a 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, DC dimming technology, HDR support, and up to 650 nits brightness.

The Z5 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 778G processor coupled with an Adreno 642L GPU, up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage. For better thermal management, iQOO has integrated a VC cooling system. The 28837mm² VC cooling area is claimed to reduce the temperature of the phone by up to 12-degrees.

In the rear, there’s a triple-camera setup. Besides its 64MP primary camera, it also has an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro sensor. A 16MP camera on the front of the phone is perfect for taking selfies.

In addition to its 5,000mAh battery, the iQOO Z5 5G supports 44W fast charging. As far as software is concerned, the handset runs Android 11-based Funtouch OS for iQOO. It features a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers as well.
