iQOO has confirmed that it will be launching the iQOO Z1 5G in China on May 19. Vivo’s sub-brand has shared a new teaser to announce the launch of the world’s first MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC powered smartphone. To recall, MediaTek announced the upgraded variant of Dimensity chipset, dubbed as Dimensity 1000 Plus chipset recently. In the event, the company also confirmed that the iQOO will be the first manufacturer to unveil a phone powered by this new chipset.
iQOO also confirmed that the forthcoming device will have a 144Hz refresh rate display with a punch-hole cutout on the front for the selfie camera. The handset will feature 44W fast charging support.
Dimensity 1000+ is based on the flagship performance of the Dimensity 1000 series and delivers a high-end, premium user experience. It is based on the 7nm process and has four Cortex-A77 cores and four A55 cores. It packs Mali—G77 MP9 GPU and the memory controller supports LPDDR4X in quad-channel mode.
Mediatek claims to deliver 5G capabilities including Carrier Aggregation, dual 5G SIM, superfast 5G speeds, and 5G UltraSave power-saving technologies that dynamically adjust the modem’s power configuration and operating frequency according to network conditions and user activities to significantly save power.
Further, the chipset also integrated with the latest HyperEngine 2.0 technology to optimize the smartphone for a more fluid and amazing gaming experience. There is also an intelligent switch between 5G and 4G networks based on application needs, which minimizes power consumption while maintaining user experience.
