iQOO Neo 5s, Neo 5 SE set to launch in China on December 20. Moreover, it looks like the Chinese company is working on a new smartphone under the U-series. In China, it could be released soon. A vanilla model and a U5X model are expected to be launched by the company. It is not clear when the devices will be launched in the home country. Ahead of the official announcement, iQOO U5 is listed on TENAA which reveals some key specifications of the upcoming budget smartphone from Vivo’s sub-brand.
According to TENAA, the vanilla U5 will have a 6.58-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels. However, there is no information about the refresh rate.
It will be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor. Previous reports suggested the device would use a Dimensity 810 SoC. In addition, the phone will pack up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There will be a 5000 mAh battery and 18W fast charging support.
It phone will come with an 8MP front camera. The phone will have dual cameras at the back, including a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP macro camera.
Additionally, the report states that the iQOO U5X is currently being developed. It will be available in 4G and 5G variants. There will be a 4G model with a Helio G88 SoC, and a 5G model with a Snapdragon 480+ SoC. A tipter claims that U5 could launch in this month. But iQOO has yet to confirm the launch date. The leaked information should be taken with a grain of salt.
