iQOO is set to launch its 8 series smartphones on August 17 in China. iQOO has officially announced the launch date of the iQOO 8 series on its official Weibo account. The upcoming iQOO 8 lineup is expected to include iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Pro smartphones. There have been multiple leaks of these devices in recent days.
The launch of the iQOO 8 series in China will take place on August 17th at 7:30 PM (local time). According to reports, both the iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Pro might feature Samsung’s E5 AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz display rate and 2K+ resolution. Apparently, these devices feature curved displays with a punch-hole in the center.
These handsets are expected to be powered by the new Snapdragon 888 Plus chip. According to reports, the phones have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Additionally, the iQOO 8 series is said to support 4GB Virtual RAM for better multitasking.
As for the software, the device will run Android 11 out of the box. The camera configurations of both iQOO 8 models remain a mystery for now. The devices are expected to sport quad-camera setups, however. In terms of battery capacity, these phones are said to offer a 4000mAh battery with 160W fast charging support. iQOO is expected to share more details of these handsets before their launch.
