iQOO 8, iQOO 8 Pro goes official with 120Hz displays, 120W fast charging

Vivo’s sub-brand has introduced iQOO 8 series in China. The new lineup includes iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Pro smartphones and they come as successors to the iQOO 7 series.

iQOO 8, iQOO 8 Pro Pricing, Availability

iQOO 8’s 8GB + 128GB storage model is priced at 3,799 (roughly Rs 43,600). Pricing for the 12GB + 256GB model is CNY 4,199 (roughly Rs 48,200). The phone is available in two color options including the Legendary Edition with the BMW M Motorsport colour scheme and the Black colour scheme.

The iQOO 8 Pro comes with a price tag of CNY 4,999 (approx Rs 57,300) for the 8GB + 256GB model. There is also a 12GB + 256GB storage variant priced at CNY 5,499 (approx Rs 63,100) and a 12GB + 512GB model at CNY 5,999 (approx Rs 68,800). There are two color options—Legendary Edition and Track Version.

iQOO 8 Specifications

iQOO 8 is fitted with a 6.56-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2376 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour, 19.8:9 aspect ratio, 92.76 screen-to-body ratio, and 398ppi pixel density. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC powers this phone along with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

iQOO 8 features triple rear cameras on the back. There is a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 13-megapixel portrait sensor with an aperture of f/2.46. Additionally, it has a 16-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture.

iQOO 8 comes with a 4,350mAh battery and support for 120W fast charging. The smartphone supports 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, and a USB Type-C port. The phone runs on Android 11 OS out of the box.

iQOO 8 Pro Specifications

iQoo 8 Pro offers a 6.78-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 1440×3200 pixels screen resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, 92.2 percent screen-to-body ratio, 517ppi pixel density, and HDR support. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 888 Plus processor. In addition, it comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

On the rear, the iQOO 8 Pro has a 50-megapixel IMX766V sensor with an f/1.75 lens and gimbal stabilization, a 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, and a 16-megapixel portrait camera with f/2.23 aperture. There is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera on the iQOO 8 Pro.

Additionally, the iQOO 8 Pro features an ultrasonic 3D wide-area in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone is powered by a larger 4,500mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging and 50W fast wireless charging.Connectivity options include 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, and a USB Type-C port. The handset runs on Android 11.
