iPhone users are reporting that the Apple ID is locked inexplicably and asking them to reset the account password. iPhone users are complaining about the issue on social media that their accounts are being locked out without any reason or prior warning notification. The reason for the glitch is still unknown and awaiting official confirmation.
It’s well known that if anyone attempts to access the account by entering incorrect credentials multiple times, it will be locked. But the users can still regain account access by answering security questions and verifying the registered phone number.
In that case, there will be a notification saying “Apple ID must be updated.” If the Apple ID is locked out, you won’t be able to access Apple Music, iCloud, iMessage till reverifying the account.
‘Update Apple ID Settings’ screen typically requires the user to re-enter the credentials to flush the previously stored details. But coming to the present issue with the account, users are reporting that the accounts are frozen without any warning notification.
The reason for this may be some bad actors group are trying to infiltrate Apple ID’s of the users and to prevent further risks accounts are locked up. According to a report by 9to5Mac users who are affected by this critical issue are repeatedly receiving login requests after setting up a new iOS device.
The exact toll of users affected by this issue is still unknown, but according to the complaints by the users on the social media platforms, the issue can be observed wide-spread. Apple didn’t announce anything about the issue, but we expect that this issue will be fixed by the company immediately.
